Vitrea. Vetro italiano contemporaneo d'autore is an exhibition dedicated to art glass created by international artists and made by great Italian master craftsmen. Organized in collaboration with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte and curated by Jean Blanchaert, Vitrea presents the best contemporary artistic productions that represent Italian mastery in the working of art glass. The works on display, different in technique, poetics, and function, tell the contemporary creative variety in the realization of glass: from sculpture to lighting, from figurative works to stained glass, in blown glass, in lamp glass, in solid glass, in glass fusion, in glass mosaic and mold, as well as works in which glass is combined with other materials, such as iron and wood.
