Date and place: January 29, 2022 - March 15, 2022, the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, the Musée Picasso Paris and, of course, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, France.
From Picasso and Matisse to Lichtenstein and Warhol, Yves Saint Laurent (1936-2008) drew inspiration from a large number of modern artists and, indeed, from all of art history and the art world has always loved him for it. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the great designer's first fashion show, 6 of the most famous Parisian museums have opened their galleries to the master's creations.
The Yves Saint Laurent aux musées exhibition is therefore a tribute to the deep bond that the couturier had with art in general, and the collections of French public museums in particular.
The installations can be found at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, the Centre Pompidou, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, the Musée Picasso Paris and, of course, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent which reopens its doors after the pandemic. This is a unique experience to be able to revisit the master's collections and some archival documents that have never been taken before. Until March 15, 2022.
