Spring has finally arrived, the days have lengthened and the birds have started to twitter again. The desire to renew yourself is making its way and the best way to do this is to start from your own living space. Whether it's small or large, we want to help you make your home unique and special without missing out on the new trends: there used to be trade magazines, shop windows were peered at, your designer friend was asked for advice... today Instagram is the new point of reference, "the oracle" that helps us as it a continues to be source of inspiration.
We did a little research combining taste with new trends to provide you with suggestions to follow for an original, trendy and, last but not least, attentive to recycling and intelligent reuse house.
1. #rustrial
The term Rustrial derives from the terms "rustic" and "industrial" and is the trend that is gaining the upper hand in 2019.
In Italy the use of wood and rustic style have never gone out of fashion but, in this case, metal and cement are combined in order to create a perfect combination of tradition and innovation. So the green light is given to mix'n'match between elements in cement and metal, taken from the industrial style, and elements in warmer tones made of wood.
2. #vintage
Vintage is for the incurable romantics, for the nostalgic, for those who appreciate the quality and manufacture of the past. Even on Instagram, home of continuous innovation, vintage is beginning to emerge on different markets such as fashion and furniture. A must have? A mid-century style armchair, a space age lamp and a Scandinavian cupboard.
3. #exotic
The taste for the exotic has roots that go back to the Middle Ages and then be further fomented by Marco Polo with his continuous trips to Asia along the famous Silk Road. However, it was in the 16th century that the phenomenon, called "exoticism", took over and conquered the entire European continent thanks to the development of colonialism. Contacts with the New American World, Africa, the East and Asia began to strongly influence European culture, so much so as to merge with it.
If you want to give an exotic touch to your interior, think about those cultures that fascinate you the most and let yourself be inspired by them. You might opt for wallpaper, or you might prefer prints rather than brightly coloured decorations.
4. #pattern
The pattern is that detail, that colourful spot that has the power to give a new face to the house. You could use it in your home linen or, why not, on cushions, sofas and carpets. But be careful not to mix too many different patterns in order to avoid creating aesthetic disorder.
5. #greenspace
Especially for those who live in a big city, green spaces are scarce, so a new trend is to hang plants from the ceiling or create a small green corner even on the balcony.
Taking care of the plants has a calming and therapeutic effect, the same characteristics as the green colour.
6. #decorations
What world would it be without the decorations? Paintings, pictures, trinkets, vases and ceramic objects, you are spoilt for choice: the important thing is to know your tastes and not to exceed in order to avoid confusion. If you want to make yourself a special gift, buy something that reflects your personality and decorate your home with love.
