This moodboard pays homage to the exquisite library of Villa Necchi Campiglio, seeking to recreate the essence of a space where elegance knows no limits. The room was originally conceived by the renowned architect Piero Portaluppi in 1932, commissioned for the design of the villa by the doctor-entrepreneur Angelo Campiglio. Portaluppi, the most sought after architect of the time, mixed neoclassical, art deco, futuristic and secessionist elements in his extraordinary repertoire. After the Second World War, the interiors of the villa underwent a notable transformation at the hands of the architect Tomaso Buzzi, displaying sofas with elegantly curved backs, an 18th century console, elements imbued with Renaissance charm that give the rooms an even deeper sense of grandeur, firmly rooted in Italian tradition; Portaluppi's style remains in the splendid sliding doors of the fumoir and in the fireplace of the library.
