Item description

Set of Two Throne Seats created by the international artist Urano Palma in 1970. Extraordinary sculptures in iron, hand-crafted and enamelled in red. A pair of extraordinary pieces that will show off in any environment they are placed. URANUS PALM (1936 – 2010) Urano Palma was born in Varese in 1936 and then settled in Milan, where he had the opportunity to meet great artists including Lucio Fontana. In over fifty years of career, Urano Palma has held exhibitions in Germany (Ulm, Munich, Düsseldorf) in France, Spain, the United States and recently in Korea, where he was chosen, together with eight other sculptors, to represent Italy in occasion of the Seoul Olympics, with a cast iron work, which is currently located at the Permanent Museum of Contemporary Art. A visionary and multidisciplinary artist, he is active both in the strictly artistic field and in the design and product sectors, testifying to an agile and often surprising creativity that owes much to his initial experiences in the advertising field... since 1960, he has also been involved in design and creates sculpture furniture, using various materials: wood, stone, bronze, crystal, steel, iron and aluminium.
