This is an original Art Nouveau coat hanger from 1910. It is believed to have been produced by the Thonet Company in one of its Czech factories in the former Hungarian Empire. It can be found in various Thonet product catalogs as coat hanger Model no. 1. This coat hanger was designed in the ornamental Art Nouveau style and perfectly combines the organic curling shapes of Art Nouveau with the curved wood technology of the Thonet brand.
