Item description
Floor lamp produced by Barovier & Toso. Elegant floor lamp with marble base, brass and rostrated glass structure and bullicante glass lampshade. The rostrated glass technique was invented and patented by Ercole Barovier, owner and director of Barovier from 1914 to 1972. Ercole Barovier was responsible for the creation of numerous and innovative glass processing techniques. The activity of the Barovier family began in the first half of the 13th century, making it the sixth oldest family business in the world. It assumed its current name Barovier & Toso in 1942 by merging with the Toso Brothers glassworks. This refined floor lamp best expresses the craftsmanship of the furnace and the beauty of Barovier's products. Produced in the 1940s, the lamp is in excellent, conservative condition. It has no defects of any kind, neither structural nor in the glass, the tips of the rostrum parts are all intact. It has a patina on the brass due to age that can be removed with polishing which can be requested according to the customer's needs.
