Oil on canvas. A typical 18th century landscape, characterised by a wide view of the countryside, with hills and mountains in the distance, the river flowing in the centre, architectural ruins and small human figures, i.e. wayfarers on the path to the right, while in the foreground in the left corner two men in conversation.
The painting has been restored and re-framed, with application of the first canvas on a second canvas and on a late 19th century frame. It is presented in a stylish gilded frame.
