Item description

Please read the entire description carefully, as it provides detailed technical and historical information that will help assure you of the authenticity of our items. This elegant and refined cachepot is made of fine French porcelain, known as "Porcelain de Paris." The shape is both pleasing and functional, featuring an exceptional floral decoration. Beautiful and delicate flowers in various shades of pink, along with an ethereal butterfly, have been meticulously hand-painted on the creamy white surface. The rim and base are finished with a thin line of color. The interior, also creamy white, includes a hole at the bottom for water drainage. Created by master craftsmen in the Napoleon III style in a workshop in the suburbs of Paris, France, between 1880 and 1890, this cachepot reflects the ancient traditions and craftsmanship associated with the use of kaolin. “Porcelain de Paris” is a term that collectively refers to the various porcelain decoration workshops and studios located in and around Paris. It does not denote a single company or manufacturer but is usually applied to finely crafted objects produced in the mid to late 19th century. The manufacturers are often anonymous and generally unknown, or they produced only a few rare pieces. Antique porcelain objects from Paris are highly sought after by collectors and are featured in many museums around the world. The cachepot is in excellent condition. Measurements: diameter 20 cm, height 20 cm. For all our shipments, we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, Styrofoam, etc.) to ensure the utmost protection and safety of the items.
