Lacquered wooden jewellery box, 18th century

Small jewelery box in lacquered wood on an ivory background; shaped on the edges and supported by four flattened ball feet. On the sides and on the surface of the rocaille reserves in shades of blue contain landscapes animated by oriental figures made monochrome in shades of pink; the edges of the top and the base frame are painted in a Greek pattern of successive leaves, an element which confirms a dating which is already influenced by the neoclassical taste. Inside there is a simple pink lacquer with a reserve painted similarly to the others under the top. Wrought iron hinges and lock.
