This rare Burmese sculpture from the early 18th century is a fascinating example of the art of the period. Made of wood, it is covered with a layer of lacquer and decorated with a gold patina, which enhances its refinement and elegance. With dimensions of: width of 50 cm, height of 66 cm and depth of 20 cm. Sculptures of this type were traditionally created in northern Thailand, near the border with Burma, a region known for its rich artistic production. This piece was displayed at the prestigious Florence Antiques Exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi in 1975, demonstrating its value and importance in the field of antiques. Currently, the sculpture is considered a highly valuable collector's item. Provenance: Peng Seng Collection, located in Silom Road, Bangkok, and later G. Collection. Colombari, Turin, Italy.
