The sculpture is made of gilded brass from around the 1930s/'40s and is unsigned. The Castolin soldering and the derivative patina especially in the soldering and internally confirm the period. The workmanship is certainly of high quality and the style is uniquely unmistakable as being by Franz Hagenauer. Piece attributed to the designer shown above. Has no attribution mark or proof of authenticity, but is documented in design history. It has surface scratches on the gold and wear during storage more substantial on the ear and back see photo, base replaced.
