He is considered one of the founding fathers of Italian industrial design. Together with the BBPR studio group, Alberto Rosselli, Franco Albini, Marcello Nizzoli and the brothers Livio, Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni, hecontributed to the post-war debate on the "modern movement" in architecture and design. Zanuso was one of the very first to take an interest in theproblems of product industrialization and in the application of new materials and technologies to everyday objects.His objects received numerous awards (including seven Golden Compasses and six prizes from the Milan Triennale) and are exhibited at the Museum ofModern Art in New York and in the permanent design collection of the Triennale (Antropus" and "Lady) .
