The nutshell belongs to the cylindrical table collection by Cini & Nils, design OPI Milano, Made in Italy, 1970s. Made of stainless steel, the internal surfaces, cylinders and terminals are mirror polished, while the external surfaces are brushed longitudinally.
Its weight and the dimensions of the two arms are designed to allow a better dosage of pressure to be exerted on the shell of the dried fruit.
Even the smoothest shells are firmly held by the two knurled oval notches and the two small cylinders protruding inside each arm: the knurling prevents the fruit from slipping away laterally, while the two small cylinders - moving closer during the pressure phase - also hold it in longitudinal direction.
