Large Tabriz carpet, 376x287 – m2. 10.79. Complex decorative pattern and quality craftsmanship, hand-knotted. There is an elaborate medallion in the center, typical of Persian carpets, surrounded by intricate and symmetrical details. The outer edge is adorned with floral and arabesque motifs, which enclose the entire carpet. Many stylized floral details and scroll designs are visible extending towards the center and edges. The main background color is a bright, vibrant red, which dominates the carpet. Dark blue is used for the central medallion and some sections of the borders, creating contrast. Cream/White is present in the background sections of the center pattern and in the corners to create balance. Green and multicolored accents in the floral details and other decorations. Tabriz, located 600 km west of Tehran, is also one of Iran's largest cities and the capital of the Iranian province of Azerbaijan. Tabriz carpets are known for their precision and complexity in designs, for their high knot density, which gives the carpet a particularly fine and detailed texture.
