A peculiar and original sofa table, on the rectangular-shaped wooden top with rounded corners, has been placed a black glass decorated from below with designs representing a pleasant and graceful Japanese landscape;. In the foreground, a geisha in a characteristic kimono sits on a bench surrounded by flowers and plants. In the distance, a temple and the silhouette of the iconic Mount Fuji, Japan's sacred mountain, can be seen. The gold and red lettering stands out nicely against the black glass. A brass band runs along the entire edge of the table. The legs are made of black-painted wood and are especially notable for their brass finials, which are movable (see photo) and allow the table to remain perfectly stable, even on uneven floors.
