17th century Italian painting. Oil on canvas work, already recently restored, depicting a painting from the Brescian school, Madonna with Child and Saint John of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of beautiful size and proportion adorned with a wooden rod on the edge placed during the restoration phase. Painting inspired by the masterpiece of Alessandro Bonvicino known as Moretto (1498-1554) The Holy Family of the Carrara Academy. A work that develops horizontally, the clothes and delicate faces of the characters are very well painted. As we have already indicated, the work has undergone conservative restoration, color recovery in small points, re-cloth and replacement of the frame (see photo). It is in good condition. Light painting H 59 x W 70 cm.
