Item description
The extending table model T92, designed in 1960 by Eugenio Gerli and Mario Cristiani and produced by Tecno, is an emblematic example of the excellence of postwar Italian design. This table was singled out for the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1970, a testament to its relevance in the international design scene. The table top is made of fine wood with natural grain that enhances its elegance and quality craftsmanship. Its square shape can be easily enlarged thanks to an innovative system: a rotation on a central brass pin allows the flaps on the four sides to be opened, transforming the table and increasing the support surface in a simple and functional way. This mechanism is a perfect example of the attention to detail and ingenuity that distinguishes Tecno's production and Gerli's design. Underneath the table top, you can see the Tecno brand name imprinted on a plaque certifying the authenticity and quality of the piece. The supporting frame and legs are made of black-painted metal, a material that not only offers strength and durability, but also perfectly complements the table's essential design, maintaining a modern and sophisticated look. The table's clean and regular lines reflect the rigorous and minimalist style typical of Tecno manufacturing, a brand that has always been able to combine aesthetics and functionality. The T92 model is ideal for furnishing both contemporary living rooms and modern offices, where minimal and clean lines are sought after. Its ability to expand and adapt to space requirements makes it a versatile piece of furniture, suitable for both domestic and professional settings. The table is not only a functional element, but a true design piece that adds character and personality to the environments in which it is placed. The T92 model continues to inspire and find a place in modern homes and offices because of its timeless beauty and unquestionable quality.
