Pair of armchairs in wood and fabric, 1930s

Sold

This set of two Art Deco armchairs comes in its original slipcover with signs of wear commensurate with its age. The red fabric lining with its ornaments harks back to the late 1920s/early 1930s and still shows a strong color. The armrests of the armchairs have an oak edge that harmonizes beautifully with the color of the fabric. The legs of the armchairs are curved at the front and straight at the back in oak. One of the armchairs shows a light abrasion on the seat. The cables on the front seat are intact and secure. The design of the armchairs recalls the iconic aerodynamic shapes of the 1920s. The armchairs were probably made in Germany.
