Four SC66 chairs attributed to Luigi Salocchi for Sormani, 1960s

These four SC66 chairs were designed by Claudio Salocchi in 1966 for Luigi Sormani productions. Made of mahogany with fabric seats and backrest, they feature an unmistakable wing in the backrest, which has made them emblematic of a style that renews the archetype of the dining chair in a modern key. This set was reupholstered by the owner in the 1980s, while maintaining Salocchi's design criterion, a neutral worked fabric. The original fabric is still present underneath the current fabric. Consolidative and conservative restoration was carried out.
