Table by Vico Magistretti, Tessera model of 1965. Green plastic material. Good condition, shows signs of wear. Chairs sold separately. Vico Magistretti designed for Artemide, starting from Demetrio in 1965, a series of furniture (tables, seats, armchairs) in reinforced resin whose concept is based on the idea of "strength by shape". The plastic, generically called, does not withstand compression stress, but when carefully configured it can be a perfect support for seating as it emblematically represents the work done on Selene. Magistretti, as for other similar projects, conceives the project starting from the potential of the material and the technological coherence, avoiding formalisms but remaining faithful and consistent with the expressive possibilities offered by the material used. Tessera is a detachable table, in reinforced resin, whose circular support surface measures 120 diameter and the column support that ends with a flared base, measures 72 cm in height. The tables are made of GRP or Reglar which indicates the registered trademark "Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester", produced by Artemide.
