Rounding coffee table in inlaid wooden, '800
BRONZE Seller in Arezzo, Italia
Living room table with geometric inlays on the top and on the stem. The inlays are made with the "Toppo" darkened technique, a processing commonly used in Italy throughout the nineteenth century. This processing consisted in chaooling each other wooden strips of different essences and after cutting the blocks obtained, exploiting the chromatic difference of the sections to create various geometric shapes with which to decorate the surfaces. The round floor rests on a central leg supported by three feet. Restored and polished with shellac.
