N. Casissa attr., Still life, over door oil painting, 18th century

Spectacular picture of the first half of the eighteenth century. Oil work on canvas depicting splendid stil life attributable to the Italian painter Nicola Casissa (with authentic by Dr. Gianluca Bocchi). A pupil of Andrea Belvedere will create sumptuous and elegant death lifes that sometimes leave out the botanical truthfulness by preferring the aesthetic aspects and chromatic contrasts. The representation is structured in a refined game of diagonal and enriched by allegorical elements that reveal a late Baroque and Rococo sensitivity. At the top left we find a dramatic scene, a bird of prey sinks its claws on the prey giving intensity and dynamism to the composition. Rose, carnations, peonies and other colorful flowers are arranged with abundance by exploding in a real chromatic explosion. Sagomated setting of the 19th century in carved and golden wood, of beautiful decoration, with some signs of time and small shortcomings (see photo). Painted already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some places. Overall operates in good conservative state. Painted light h 110 x L 116 cm.
