Francesco Londonio attr., Pastoral scene, oil painting, 18th century

Great Italian picture of the mid -eighteenth century. Oil painted on canvas depicting splendid pastoral genre scene attributable to the Milanese painter Francesco Londonio (the work is currently not accompanied by Expertise, but it is possible to obtain it upon payment of the related additional costs). He was famous for his rural scenes animated by flocks, cattle and peasant figures immersed in a idyllic atmosphere. In the foreground, in fact, the composition is dominated by a rich variety of farm animals, including cows, goats and sheep, arranged with wise balance. In the background, however, we see a shepherd who plays the flute, while a young woman intent on rowing listens to him with interest. Picture already restored with Rintelo, replacement of the frame and recovery of color in small points. Overall in good conservative state. Work belonging to a couple, see photos and request the block price if still available.
