Classic high-quality silver-plated tea and coffee set (hard metal), the oval-shaped pieces are embellished with elegant and elaborate engravings that frame the initials M-G, the marks printed on all the objects belong to the George Shadford Lee & Henry Wigfull company founded in Sheffield in 1871. The production date is between 1871 and 1879 (see page 87 of Sheffield & Birmingham Victorian Electroplaters Book of Marks by Andrea De Giovanni). An ancient and magnificent service in excellent condition.
