Louis Philip game table in mahogany, 19th century
SILVER Seller in Prato, Italy
Elegant mahogany game table. The edge is decorated with delicate and harmonious motifs, the legs have a soft sabre shape, the top is hinged to open it, with this manoeuvre the table reaches the dimensions of cm.89 x 88. Under the top there is a compartment where the various games were stored. It was handcrafted in France in 1850 in pure Louis-Philippe style, a style in which the magnificence and imperial pomp of the Napoleonic period had been abandoned, beginning to address, with a softer and more elegant style, the needs and taste of a wider social stratum such as the rich bourgeoisie.
