Item description
Angle carved and lacquered, Piedmontese workmanship and style and era Louis XVI, late 18th century, early 19th century. The structure, healthy and without failures, all original, still with the two linings of the time, has two sides a pan coupe with grooves and at the top, above the frame, two vases carved (wanting to remove) while under the frame itself two drip, both stylistic elements dear in Louis XVI. Even if it is a single body, a ribbed frame with a drip tray underneath, divides the upper part from the lower part, making the piece of furniture look like two bodies. The upper part has a glass door with visible maps and gilded plate vent, lock with key and an internal compartment lined with fabric with 4 crystal shelves and 5 shelves. The lower part has a door closed by an ivory-colored panel with a frieze in the center in gilded plate as the mouth, lock, key and maps at sight and a compartment lined with paper with a handle and two shelves. The state of preservation is excellent, with the lacquering done in later times with very small signs of time. The crystal linings and shelves were added recently. Maps and friezes in gilded plate are all coeval. Vase height: 14cm.
