Charles X dresser inlaid and slab walnut, early 19th century

Wonderful and rare Carlo X Comó with walnut panelling and cherry interiors, dating back to the beginning of the 19th century, with a maple inlay of great quality and richness that reminds, together with the Palmette motif, the master Pelagio Pelagi. In addition to the inlay on the 4 feet and the double fillet that surrounds the sides, is the facade to make this Comó really special: a small drawer with central inlay and two knobs on the sides overlooks the 3 large drawers below, framed by a carved bakel with a band around it with fillet and palmette inlay in maple and 4 small rosettes at the corners in maple and ebony; the 3 large drawers form a single design (as is normally found in Louis XVI, thus making this piece of furniture very rare) with a rose window in the center in maple and ebony and all around a triumph of volutes and palmettes finely inlaid in maple, all framed by a double fillet with the corners other palmettes with volutes. Above, a beautiful white Carrara marble serves as a support surface. Underneath, a carved baccellatura on three sides above a small band that rests on the 4 inlaid and threaded slipper feet. The locks are all 4 present, original, with the double "dentino" (see photo). The state of preservation, given the era, is excellent, with small inevitable signs of time, the structure is healthy, the patina still beautiful, the marble intact.
