Thangka (Tibetan Thang-ka) Thangkas are paintings on canvas depicting sacred images closely related to Tibetan Buddhism. The central part is called the 'mirror' and is the soul of the thangka as it is the painted part that always depicts something sacred such as mandalas, wheels of life, angry or not angry deities, the various Buddhas, their lives or any deity related to Buddhism.
