Small French writing desk from the early 20th century. Finished center cabinet inlaid in rosewood, rosewood, mahogany, maple and fruit woods of beautiful line and pleasing decor. Napoleon III style side table richly adorned with gilt and chiseled bronze. Cabinet complete with a front drawer that can be opened with a special button located under the side band. Desk of excellent proportion with leather covered top with some signs of wear (see photo). Very elegant coffee table, structurally sound, with several small veneer failures and signs of time. Overall in fair state of preservation. To be restored.
