    Item description

    Masterful marble well, square shaped, supported by 8 columns, adorned with neat decorations. It is engraved in the lower part of a Latin quotation that translated reads 'I fixed the road in the best way I could do'. Provenance Venice, private collection. Unique in its kind for the particular decorations that presents, for the shape and for the great quality of the marble, which takes on a bright and elegant patina. Generous size, well proportioned. Is in excellent condition, intact and functional.
