Small sculpture by Carlo Balljana, "Controvento", 1973














Controvento is the name of this bronze sculpture by the sculptor Carlo Balljana (revised 29/08/44). The sculpture is in perfect condition, signed by the author (1/99 year 1973). A work of world importance is the Reliquary in gold and silver that preserves the vocal apparatus of St. Anthony, preserved in the Chapel of the Treasure in the Vatican Basilica of the Saint. Among the most important exhibitions are the Espace Delacroix exhibition in Paris in 1991, 54 Venice Biennale with the work Reliquary in gilded and silvered bronze containing the ampoule with the blood of Pope John Paul II. He has known and worked for 6 Popes: John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis. His collectors are in Switzerland, France, Germany, New York, England, Brazil, Monaco, Japan, Russia.
