Complete Via Crucis, Italy, 18th century. Oil paintings on panel depicting the 14 Stations of the Passion of Jesus by a good pictorial hand. Small works adorned with 20th century wooden frames, carved and lacquered. Pictures of great character and pleasantness, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of ancient sacred art. Paintings numbered (Roman numerals) on the back of the panel (see photo). Some paintings have undergone some minor conservative restoration work and colour recovery, overall in beautiful patina. An ideal series of paintings to place on a wall in a study or a living room, with a strong visual impact. Complete Via Crucis difficult to find, in good state of preservation. Light paintings H 38 x W 28 cm.
