Item description
Pair of Lamps "Area" Design by Mario Bellini for Artemide 1972 -out of production- The Area lamp was created by the genius of the architect Bellini, with the intention of creating lamps that seemed to float in the air, light and evanescent, with a supple stem like that of a poppy. The lamps designed in the early 70's, characterized by essential and clean lines, anticipate the "minimal" style that will spread twenty years later in the design of the 90's. These avant-garde creations were so successful that they were produced in different versions, from floor, ceiling to suspension and table (still on display in the permanent design section of the Moma in New York).
