Item description

Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 17th century. Oil painting on canvas depicting religious subject Rest during the flight into Egypt of excellent pictorial hand. Perfectly proportioned painting, easy to place in different parts of the house, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of antique sacred art. 20th century wood and plaster frame, carved and gilded (bronze tint) with some small signs of wear (see photo). Painting of great refinement characterised by pleasant drapery and good luminosity. Work that has undergone a conservative restoration, re-tinting, replacement of the frame and restoration of the colour in some points (see photo). In good state of preservation and with beautiful patina. Light painting H 75,5 x W 62 cm.
