Painting Holy Family with coat of arms in the manner of Tiziano Vecellio, 16th century

Holy Family with noble cartouche. Exceptional painting depicting the Holy Family with Saint Joseph handing a noble cartouche to the Child Jesus. Work in the manner of Titian Vecellio, known simply as Titian (Pieve di Cadore, 1488/1490 -Venice, 27 August 1576). The proposed painting easily matches Titian's work: 'Madonna Barbarigo' in the Hermitage, but also 'Madonna with Child and St. Paul' in the Budapest Museum and 'Madonna with Child' in the Uffizi. The Holy Family with noble cartouche is an oil painting on canvas from the school of Titian, dating from the second half of the 16th century. The painting was obviously commissioned by an important noble family, as can be seen from the cartouche offered by St. Joseph. The Madonna, seated in repose, offers the Child to the adoration of St. Joseph, who places a noble cartouche on Christ for his blessing. The child Jesus rests his right hand on the cartouche with olive branches, a clear sign of blessing and peace towards the noble family that commissioned this important painting, placed with his back to the right and his head in profile. The aristocratic coat of arms clearly belongs to a branch of the important Marcello family of Venice, and the wave now placed on the coat of arms at an angle from top to bottom from right to left is classic. On the back various labels and inventory and collection stamps. Work in good state of preservation, tarnished. Small colour falls, recovered after pictorial restoration.
