Oil painting on canvas depicting The Holy Family. This almost familiar scene shows Christ Child and St. John embracing each other while their respective mothers, Mary and Elizabeth, look on. The moment is witnessed by St. Catherine, who accompanies them. She is leaning on a large wooden wheel, symbolizing her martyrdom. The Lamb on the lower left alludes to Christ's Passion and saddens the moment with the announcement of his fate. On the right, the landscape is framed by a classical ruin adorned with a bas-relief. The background opens to a lush landscape. Very good condition non-coeval frame. Measures: 75x100cm. Certificate of Authenticity.
