Item description
Italian painting dated 1890. First oil on canvas work depicting still life, hunting trophies by an outstanding painterly hand. Painting adorned with finely chiselled and gilded Art Nouveau wood and plaster frame. Painting signed and dated lower right G. Falchetti 1890 (see photo) referable to the painter Giuseppe Falchetti (1843-1918), lacking authentication. Fabulous wooden panel used as a background by the painter to create a three-dimensional effect in the still life. Animals and horn finely painted in the finest detail, a subject for antique dealers, interior decorators and hunting trophy collectors. Work is part of a pendant (see photo and ask for block price if available). In good condition. Light painting H 66 x W 45 cm.
