Small painting on wood panel depicting two trees. The artist, a Frenchman, live painted on the lids of color boxes and was one of the forerunners of the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Some of his paintings are signed - but he doesn't reveal his name - and the place that generated the inspiration is also indicated on the back of the panel.
