Old Flemish painting from the 17th century. Oil on canvas painting depicting interior scene of tavern brawl by a good painterly hand. Beautiful 20th century frame, carved and gilded. Painting of good size and proportion, characterised by the presence of numerous characters, with excellent dynamism. Dark background painting of difficult availability, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of old Flemish painting. The fighting characters armed with sticks and knives are striking (see photo). In the centre of the composition probably the stone of scandal: playing cards (see photo). Work that has undergone conservative restoration, re-staining, replacement of the frame and repainting in places (see photo). In good condition. Light painting H 45 x W 51 cm.
