Item description
Cast iron and soft iron fan, produced by Marelli in the 1920s. The sheet metal blades are treated and painted. The fan can be either table or wall-mounted, thanks to a joint, extremely innovative for the time, that can straighten the fan up to an inclination of about 90°. Even when anchored to the wall the fan rotates. All the joints are made of steel, and the plugs for both the oiler and the brake are made of solid brass. The fan is fully functional. It has been completely rewired and works in all its speeds, each speed has been recalibrated. The insulation of the wires is in flame-resistant silicone sheathing. It quietly supports current from 220 to 250 volts, the cast iron parts have been restored, converting the rust to prevent it from forming again, but without distorting its state, leaving its natural vintage feel intact. The speed cover is made of bakelite. All mechanical parts have been thoroughly cleaned and greased. It will be our care to indicate to the buyer where the oiler and brake caps are located, as this type of fan, unlike the current ones, has a higher power output. Periodic maintenance is necessary by adding lubricating oil to the container provided. The weight of the fan is considerable. Height 47.5 cm - Diameter 39 cm - Base diameter 21 cm - Depth 25 cm.
