Antique painting, oil on canvas depicting the Symposium of the Gods. This important 17th century painting from Emilia can be attributed to the exquisite production of the Bolognese school. The scene unfolds in a pyramidal fashion, starting with a few allegorical figures at the base and ending with a large figure. The splendid workmanship and exquisite colouring suggest attribution to a highly talented artist working in Bologna in the second half of the 17th century. Very good condition.
