Beautiful painted metal statue designed and made by Rosario in the 1970s, of fine Italian manufacture. Signed. The statue has a very elegant black wooden base with grass grain. On the top lies a woman with her legs crossed and her arms crossed so as to cover her face, invisible and unknown. The figure of the woman is made of gilded metal painted black, gold is evident in places, a touch of elegance. One leg is resting on the ground crossed under the other thigh, while the other leg is the pivot on which the woman stands, in fact we see her pointing at the floor. Then we see the woman's hips and belly very evident, down to the two beautifully sculpted breasts, both with a touch of gold. The shoulders are marked and sloping as the arms close. The head can only be glimpsed, as it is entirely surrounded by the arms that conceal it. The woman could represent a weeping woman, hiding her face. The statue is wonderful and is truly a unique piece of furniture. The base underneath is covered with a velvety fabric that makes it an excellent ornament.
