Beautiful square wooden coffee table from the 70s. This fantastic object was designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for a Cassina production in 1965. Born in Venice in 1935, Tobia Scarpa is the son of the famous architect Carlo Scarpa. Together with his wife Afra, Tobia began working in the Venini glass factory in Murano in the 1950s. In 1960 the couple opened their own design studio in Montebelluna, and soon worked together with large companies such as Flos, Cassina, B&B Italia, and Knoll. reading, and uses new materials and cutting-edge technologies.
