Item description
Chair 200-244 was produced at Słupskie Fabryki Mebli in the 1970s. The obtained labels of the model indicate more precisely the period 1974-1976. It is one of the simplest types of upholstered chairs produced in the People's Republic of Poland period in terms of construction. Together with model 1020 B, it is probably SFM's most popular model. The fabric was based on corrugated springs and polyurethane foam. It was therefore one of the first upholstered furniture pieces in Poland to use polyurethane foam. Gradually it supplanted the veryprene equivalents and 'porous rubber', which were very comfortable forms of silicone materials. The visible joinery elements were turned and finished with colourless paint. Made of beech wood with corrugated springs, polyurethane foam and clear varnish. Complete restoration. The beech legs were cleaned, glued back into the chair frame, covered with an alder-coloured stain and finished with a shellac polish. The upholstered part received new padding, all finished with a high-quality quilted fabric. Spring seat. We have five pieces of these chairs available in different colours. Dimensions: height 83 cm; width 43 cm; depth 47 cm; seat height 40 cm.
