Splendid cabinet with bookcase shelves designed by the great designer Paolo Buffa for La Permanente Cantù in the 1950s, with the collaboration of Reguitti for the decorations. The cabinet is entirely made of beautiful light wood. At the base are two round front feet with a patinated brass plaque, while the two rear feet have a square shape. Going up the structure, one notices two large side doors and a central compartment. The two doors are made of wood, with decorations obtained thanks to the collaboration of the Reguitti manufacture: one can see cherry tree branches in bloom, with budding flowers and others already in bloom. Two beautiful birds are depicted on the branch. Both have an unpainted stripe that creates charm, and each has a slot with a built-in key, in patinated brass. The door on the far right houses a wooden tube for hanging clothes and coats; inside the actual door we see a metal and wooden coat rack, equipped with a mechanism for opening and closing it. The original Permanente Cantù label can be seen on the door, and the Reguitti trademark on the hanger. The other door boasts a splendid rectangular mirror with brass corners; inside is a small chest of drawers composed of three small drawers with brass sleeves. Above is another tube for hanging coats. Centrally we see four drawers suitable for storing important documents; above is a large empty compartment, divided in two only by a shelf, totally for display. The beautiful part of the cabinet is the bookcase on the far right; it is supported to the cabinet by means of a wooden panel on the back, typically Buffa. There are four large shelves, connected to the panel by iron mechanisms. The cabinet is splendid and suitable for very classy homes. Suitable for living rooms and bedrooms.
