Beautiful bronze statue made in the 1920s by the great artist Paul Troubetzkoy, of fine Italian workmanship. The statue is titled "The Pose" and depicts a girl intent on arranging her hair. The artist's signature is clearly distinguishable on the base. The girl is depicted with her face turned to the ground and her arms pulled up to touch her hair, probably to fix it. The breasts are small and almost sketchy, typical of an adolescent body. There is a belt at the waist, suggesting that the girl's dress is a foot-length dress, since these are not visible. The statue is very beautiful, suitable for decorating bookcases and art shelves.
