Round table, 1960s. Black lacquered iron base and ALPIlignum panelled top; the segments join at the center of the top in a brass star. ALPIlignum is a veneer that was created and patented in the 1960s by the Alpi company; to make it, it is necessary to break down woods such as poplar and linden, which are then reconstituted into other woods, finishes and decors through a process in which the wood is peeled off, stained by immersion and the dyed sheets are superimposed, creating a new log.
