A splendid ceramic figurine from the 'Signs of the Zodiac' collection, made in the early 20th century from Capodimonte ceramic painted in gold. Capodimonte is a type of Italian porcelain first developed in the 18th century. It is known for its bright colours, intricate details and striking designs with flowers, animals or mythical figures. Its production requires incredible craftsmanship, as each piece must be hand-painted to create unique designs. This is why Capodimonte pieces are highly sought-after and valuable due to their rarity. The base is spherical in shape, with a simply splendid gold surround. At the base of the feet is the zodiac sign represented by this statue: Libra.
