Wooden barrel secretaire in Biedermeier style, 1960s














Austrian secretaire from the 20th century. Elegantly inlaid Biedermeier-style cabinet, veneered and carved in walnut, beech maple and fruit woods. Secretaire built in a single body, moved on the sides, equipped with two drawers in the lower part, a central cupboard and two drawers in the upper part (see photo). Charming secretaire interior complete with 8 drawers, central compartment adorned with small columns and small mirror, desk top covered in imitation leather (see photo). An ideal piece of furniture for inclusion in a salon, drawing room or study, for antique dealers and interior decorators. Secretaire supported by four sabre-shaped zoomorphic feet, of good solidity (see photo). One foot has a small chipping of a claw. Structurally sound piece of furniture, overall in good state of preservation.
